Hee hee, onsens are certainly a thing even in modern-day Japan, so that hasn't changed much. [She says with a little giggle.] But yes, a spa is very different! You can bathe at a spa, but it's usually much more than that!

They'll give you full massages, usually with relaxing music and scented oils, and they'll put things on your skin to really help with your health-- they're quite luxurious!
